Barcelona launched themselves up into second place in LaLiga after a comfortable win over José Bordalás’ Getafe.
Scorers: Raphinha 20′, Félix 53′ De Jong 61′, López 90+1′
Barcelona went route one to open the scoring as Jules Koundé found Raphinha with a long ball over Getafe’s high line, allowing the Brazilian to pass his effort into the bottom left corner.
The Catalans doubled their lead swiftly after the break as João Félix tapped home a low cross from Andreas Christensen, mere moments after Getafe had struck Barca’s post.
Frankie de Jong then put the match beyond Getafe on the hour mark, sliding a side-footed effort past David Soria from outside the box.
To top off a spectacular afternoon for the hosts, Fermín López made it 4-0 by volleying home unopposed at the back post.
The win for Xavi’s men sees Barca temporarily move up into second in LaLiga and stretches their unbeaten run to five games in all competitions.
