Fichajes, Barcelona are interested in signing Newcastle United star Alexander Isak in the summer. The Spanish outfit sees the player as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is in the twilight of his career.

Isak is putting on an impressive show in the ongoing campaign as he has already netted 23 goals and provided five assists in 33 games. He is averaging 3 shots, 1.6 key passes, and 1.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).

The Swedish is a modern-day striker with intelligent movements. He is known for his strong physicality, clinical finishing, aerial dominance and high work-rate. He also has good link-up abilities and possesses dribbling skills.

Alexander Isak is too expensive

Barcelona’s search for a new striker makes sense as Robert Lewandowski isn’t aging backwards. The Polish striker has been a bit inconsistent with his form lately and that raises concerns over his long-term position in the squad.

Hence, the Spanish outfit have set their eyes on Alexander Isak, who is one of the best in his position. He has been breathing fire in the Premier League and could be a great addition. His qualities up front and link-up plays will be appreciated by Hansi Flick.

However, Newcastle United will not listen to offers below €110 million as multiple major clubs are tracking the player. Given the financial problems that Barcelona have, they cannot afford to spend that much on a single player. The Spanish club are ready to pay €65 million up front and the rest in variables. They are also open to offering two players to reduce the price.
