Barcelona management are issuing Ousmane Dembele with an ultimatum as new contract talks continue to stall.

The France international attacker is now inside the final year of his current deal and negotiations have dragged on for some months.

There has been a suspicion inside the board room that Dembele plans to run down his contract and walk out in a Bosman transfer next summer.

As such, Mundo Deportivo via Le 10 Sport says Barca have informed Dembele that if he doesn't sign a new deal, he will be dumped to the stands for the season.

Management are insisting they will only count on fully committed players and have told the Frenchman the current stalling will no longer be tolerated. The orders have come from club president Joan Laporta.

Dembele is recovering from a knee injury suffered in action for France at Euro 2020. The required surgery means he is unlikely to take the pitch again until October.
