Barcelona have been working on a new partnership that is set to bring in additional revenue, with club president Joan Laporta personally overseeing the agreement.

According to a report from SPORT, the club has finalised a deal with Sky Tour BCN, a company specialising in aerial tours, to introduce helicopter experiences designed specifically for Barça fans.

This initiative aims to create a fresh source of income while offering supporters a unique way to experience the city and the club’s history.

Exploring market opportunities

For months, Barcelona have been exploring opportunities to integrate these helicopter tours into its brand. While such tours were already available in the city, they had no direct connection to the club.

However, the board identified this as a potential market and has been in discussions to finalise an agreement with Sky Tour BCN.

These talks have now reached a successful conclusion, allowing the club to introduce exclusive Barça-themed helicopter experiences.

Sky Tour BCN, based in the Port of Barcelona, is well-established in the industry, offering short city tours, and extended flights over the Spotify Camp Nou.

With this new collaboration, Barcelona will incorporate these experiences into its official offerings through the club’s museum.

Fans will soon be able to purchase different packages, which will include a panoramic helicopter tour of the newly renovated Spotify Camp Nou alongside entry to the Barça Museum. This new experience is scheduled to launch next April.

The project is designed to enhance the visitor experience for supporters travelling to Barcelona, providing them with an aerial view of the stadium while also learning about the club’s history.

Barcelona’s objective

The club will earn a commission on every package sold, which is expected to significantly boost revenue.

There are also plans to introduce VIP packages that include private flights for attending matches, exclusive visits, and special Barça-related events.

The negotiations have been led by representatives from the Barça Museum and closely monitored by Joan Laporta himself, who is keen to see the project come to life.

If everything proceeds as planned, the first tours will be available from April.
