The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona have concluded that a leading member of the club’s first-team setup is causing active damage with his recent behaviour
That’s according to Blaugrana insider Victor Navarro, who points towards Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.
The name of shot-stopper Ter Stegen has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.
This, though, comes for altogether less than positive reasons.
As confirmed by a number of sources across the Spanish media, Ter Stegen has refused to sign off on Barcelona’s medical report regarding the extent of his current back injury.
Owing to this stance, the Blaugrana find themselves unable to make use of the German’s freed wages to register one of the club’s summer signings.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of those in the Camp Nou boardoom being left somewhat bemused by the club’s captain.
As per a report from Barca insider Victor Navarro:
‘The president is upset but they believe Ter Stegen will end up reconsidering when he realizes the consequences. They see harm to the institution and teammates. They are opening a disciplinary file on him.’
