Disgruntled members of the Barcelona support now have the green light to proceed with a vote of no confidence in current president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

The Més que una Moció group have now exceeded the 16,520 signatures they required in order to proceed with a bid to remove Bartomeu and his board.

It means that there is now a very real chance that the unpopular president will be ousted from his position of power.

The group, which is made up of club members, partners and presidential candidates, have until 6pm on Thursday night to present their petition to the club.

It is anticipated that by the time they do submit it, they will have reached over 18,000 signatures.

When the club receive the document, they then have 10 days to validate all of the signatures and if there are no issues, a vote will be called to decide the future of the current board.

Bartomeu and co. have been in the firing line for some time, culminating in their disastrous handling of the coronavirus pandemic, LaLiga and Champions League capitulation and treatment of the delicate Lionel Messi situation.
