According to SPORT, it has come to light that Barcelona are at serious risk of missing out on Luis Diaz, their top target to strengthen the left wing this summer, as Bayern Munich are now pushing hard to sign the Colombian forward from Liverpool.

The situation has become complicated for Barça, who are falling behind in negotiations due to financial limitations.

Reports from the aforementioend outlet reveal that Liverpool are asking for a transfer fee between €70 and €80 million. Barcelona consider this price too high and have made it clear they won’t bid more than €60 million.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich are seriously considering matching Liverpool’s asking price, which could see them win the race for Diaz’s signature.

Negotiations between Liverpool and Bayern are expected to continue in the coming days. Meanwhile, Barcelona are stepping back, knowing they cannot compete financially with Bayern’s offer.

This makes it increasingly likely that Diaz will end up at the Allianz Arena next season.

With the Luis Diaz option slipping away, Barcelona are now focusing on Marcus Rashford as an alternative.

As reported earlier, Barça are exploring a loan deal for the Manchester United forward, with an option to buy included. If a permanent transfer happens, the price could be around €40 million.

Rashford is still under contract with Manchester United until 2028, but his situation remains uncertain. In England, reports suggest that a key meeting is scheduled this week between Rashford’s representatives and the club’s management.

This discussion will decide the next steps, including whether the player will be allowed to leave and under what conditions.

For now, Barça are watching the situation closely. If Bayern succeed in signing Diaz, Rashford could become Barcelona’s main hope to strengthen their attack this summer.
