Antonio Conte is showing, once again, why he is one of the best coaches football has ever seen. Since signing as the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, he has lost just three games, two of which have come against Champions League defenders Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.

He’s found a way to make the best use of players discarded by previous coaches at the club, including Oliver Skipp, Lucas Moura, and Ryan Sessegnon. Tanguy Ndombele, though, continues to find himself low in the pecking order.

He need not worry, though, as Fichajes reports that there are three clubs in the race for signature. Namely, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Frenchman has played nine games this season in the league, scoring one goal and giving one assist. He averages a chance created every two games.

It makes little to no sense for Barcelona or Atletico to be chasing Ndombele, though. Both teams have a talented roster of midfielders in their squad.

The Blaugranas boast of the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Nico Gonzalez, Gavi, and the spectacular Pedri in central midfield. Diego Simeone has Rodrigo de Paul, Koke, Marcos Llorente in those positions.

PSG, on the other hand, could do with someone like Ndombele. In Ander Herrera, Idrissa Gueye, Georginio Wijnaldum, Xavi Simons and the brilliant Marco Verratti sharing the role. However, except the Italian, no midfielder at PSG is quite adept at distributing or carrying the ball into the final third or to the forwards.

Ndombele is a ball-carrying specialist with a niche in press resistance and would ideally fit in like a glove. His injury problems could come in as an obstacle, though, as it has in the past.
