Barcelona are considering a move for Ajax left-back Nicolás Tagliafico, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The LaLiga leaders are believed to be looking for a replacement for Junior Firpo, if the defender decides to leave the club.
Numerous talks between the Catalans and Tagliafico’s agent have already taken place with a view to completing a move when the transfer window eventually opens.
Tagliafico was close to signing for Atlético Madrid last summer before Ajax’s director of football Marc Overmars pulled the plug on a €25m deal.
Ajax did not want to lose the 27-year-old having already sold Frenkie de Jong and Matthjis de Ligt.
The Argentinian has made 24 appearances for the club this season, laying on four assists for his teammates and has also earned 25 caps for his country.
