Scorers: Olmo 46'
Barcelona pushed for an early opener, but attempts from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo were saved by Leo Román.
Ronald Araújo also went close for Barça and shot wide from close range as neither side could break the deadlock before half time.
It took Dani Olmo just 45 seconds to put Barcelona ahead of the break, curling into the bottom corner from inside the area.
The visitors kept probing for a second and Gavi released Yamal behind the Mallorca defence, but the forward shot straight at Román.
Hansi Flick's side remained in control late on and extended their LaLiga unbeaten run to 14 consecutive games as Mallorca remain eight points behind the Champions League qualification places.
