According to a recent update from SPORT, young Barcelona full-back Hector Fort is no longer being considered by Mallorca, who have stepped back due to the Blaugrana’s high demands.
It is known that Fort’s situation remains up in the air. While several clubs have shown interest, no deal has been finalised, and Barcelona are still open to letting him leave on loan to gain regular playing time.
The 19-year-old defender fully understands that a temporary move away is necessary as under Flick, he is not in the immediate plans, and staying without game time would only harm his development.
The message has been clear to him for weeks that it is time to find a club where he can play consistently and continue growing.
One of the most serious contenders for Fort’s signature was RCD Mallorca. They had shown real interest in recent weeks and seemed to be a possible destination. However, talks have now collapsed.
Barcelona’s firm stance on transfer conditions and Mallorca’s own squad complications, particularly their struggle to move on Pablo Maffeo, have made the operation too difficult.

With the Barcelona squad now back from their pre-season tour in Asia, the club has begun taking concrete steps to assess the loan market for fringe players.
Fort and fellow teammate Inaki Pena, who share the same agents, have been actively exploring realistic options in recent days.
Meanwhile, in recent days, a new name that has entered the picture is Paris FC. The French side has developed a reputation for investing in young talents, and Fort could fit perfectly into their project. But as of now, nothing has been agreed upon.
The clock is ticking, and while Mallorca is no longer on the table, Fort’s next move is expected soon.
A loan remains the most likely outcome, but only if the conditions match Barcelona’s expectations.
