A recent report from AS has suggested that Barcelona have been boosted by the return of Inigo Martinez.

The veteran defender has returned to training after picking up an injury earlier in the month. He is thus set to be available for Thursday’s game against Osasuna.

Now, the same report has suggested that Barcelona could be set for another key injury boost, in the form of Pau Cubarsi.

Pau Cubarsi to join training tomorrow

The report adds that the young Barcelona defender is set to rejoin training tomorrow after picking up a minor knock during the international break.

Despite the knock being minor, Cubarsi was allowed to return to Barcelona to recover from his injury. And after 48 hours of rest, it seems the defender is back to fitness.

The report even goes on to suggest that Cubarsi will be available at Hansi Flick’s disposal when Barcelona take on Osasuna on Thursday.

This could serve as a massive boost for the Catalans, who, at one point, were looking at the possibility of having both Cubarsi and Martinez ruled out for the clash.

Now, both players appear to be back and ready for the Osasuna. However, given that they are both returning from injuries, it will be interesting to see whether or not Barça proceed with caution.

Unfortunately for the Blaugrana, Ronald Araujo is set to return late from the international break, which means Flick will likely have to play Eric Garcia, should he decide to rest one of these two central defenders.
