Barcelona defender Gerard Pique wants a second opinion on his knee injury assessment.

Sport says Pique knows what Barcelona's medics think the state of his knee is, a grade three sprain with the anterior cruciate ligament damaged partially too.

They have decided to undertake conservative treatment, so aren't specifying ar return date, although sources say it could be around three months before he's back.

The player, after finding out the club doctors' opinions, also wants to see what prestigious Dr Ramon Cugat says about it, a knee specialist in Barcelona. Depending on his opinion there is a chance Pique may have surgery if it helps. Right now that's not the first option.

The injury came when Angel Correa, fouled by Jordi Alba, collided with Pique and fell on his right knee, which was immediately painful. He left the pitch in tears.
