The recent win over Levante was a big one for FC Barcelona. Beyond just winning three crucial points, the Catalan giants showed immense fighting spirit. However, even a victory like that does not stop training for the next fixture.
Following the game, Hansi Flick and the team’s coaching staff organised a recovery session for the squad. A regular occurrence, it was just like any other post-match session that the players do. Unfortunately, there was an important player who missed the recent session.

According to the information provided by Mundo Deportivo, Danish defender Andreas Christensen missed the recent recovery session. The reason for his absence, as per MD, was that the player woke up with some discomfort.
After discussing the issue with Flick, the Barça defender was allowed to miss this recent recovery session. However, with the team now expected to return to training on Wednesday to prepare for their next game against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, Christensen’s situation will be one to keep an eye on.

With Inigo Martinez no longer at the club, the Dane could have a bigger role to play this season. Now 29 years old, and with a contract that runs out in 2026, Barça could look to make the most out of Christensen’s availability this season.
