Barcelona defender Eric Garcia recovery in final phase

Barcelona defender Eric Garcia was back in training on Monday, as he takes on the final phase of his recovery from his thigh injury.

Everything indicates he will be ready to play against RCD Espanyol if needed on Sunday, reports Sport.

Eric's return is good news for Xavi Hernandez. After Dani Alves, Ferran Torres, Adama and Aubameyang arrived, Eric is the 'fifth signing'.

Before his injury he had gained Xavi's trust as a regular. He can help bring the ball out and is tactically intelligent.

With Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti injured, Eric will be hoping to be included over Ronald Araujo or Gerard Pique in the coming weeks.
