Barcelona crock Ansu Fati based in Madrid to work with Ronaldo physio | OneFootball

There is hope of an earlier than expected return to action for Barcelona winger Ansu Fati as he recovers from hamstring injury.

Ansu attended Camp Nou to watch the clash with Atletico Madrid with his team-mates on Sunday.

After a meeting with various Barcelona officials, including Xavi and Dr Ricard Pruna, the club encouraged him to take surgery. However Ansu wanted to opt for conservative treatment on his hamstring. That means he will be out for six to eight weeks instead of four to six months.

He is taking his physio treatment in Madrid, along with his physio Joaquin Juan, who has also worked with Cristiano Ronaldo, Pau Gasol and Radamel Falcao.

He came down from Madrid for the game and watched it with the other injured players, Sergi Roberto, Memphis Depay and Alejandro Balde. They were in the dressing room before and after the game too, says Sport.
