Barcelona could reignite their interest in signing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez as they consider a long-term plan in attack as Robert Lewandowski ages out of the squad.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Argentina would be one of the main names on the Blaugranas’ list as they plot an ambitious long-term attacking revamp.

Martinez had been a major target for Barcelona in the past, although in the end the striker stayed at Inter where he extended his contract with the Nerazzurri last fall.

However, the 25-year-old has never really fallen off the Catalan giants’ radar.

At the moment, Barcelona have made former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund striker Lewandowski the focal point of their attack.

However, given that the Pole turns 35 this season, and Memphis Depay could also be on his way out, the La Liga team could be in search of a new big name attacking signing.

In this event, Martinez would be one of the players who the Blaugranas are most likely to reignite their pursuit of.
