It is no secret that FC Barcelona continue to take a cautious approach with their spending. However, the savings made today could pave the way for a marquee signing in the near future, and according to a fresh update, that scenario may take shape as soon as next summer.
As reported by Fichajes, Barcelona are keeping a close eye on a special clause in the contract of Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane. The clause, according to the report, could allow the English forward to leave the German club in 2026.

For the Catalan giants, the timing could be ideal. Reports suggest that club president Joan Laporta is eager to make a high-profile signing next summer, and with Robert Lewandowski now 36, the time may have come to invest in a new striker.
Kane, however, is no ordinary striker. The former Tottenham Hotspur star is a proven, world-class goalscorer who has consistently delivered at the highest level, whether in the Premier League or the Bundesliga.
The €75 million-rated English forward’s ability to find the net regardless of age, opponent, or competition has made him one of Europe’s most feared forwards.
After shining for both Spurs and Bayern, Barcelona could represent the next big step in Kane’s illustrious career. Moreover, given the Catalan club’s tendency to seek out strikers with great technical profiles, Kane checks off every box in terms of the kind of striker that is wanted at Barcelona.
That said, any potential move would require careful financial planning from Barcelona. Despite this, the possibility of adding a player of Kane’s pedigree and experience is seen within the club as an exciting opportunity worth exploring.
