La Liga giants Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the development of São Paulo talent Nicolas Bosshardt, with a view to a potential transfer offer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Bosshardt, for his part, is a 17-year-old defender, who generally plies his trade at left-back.
The youngster has long been hailed as a potential star in the making in his home country of Brazil, despite being yet to make his senior bow with the aforementioned São Paulo.
As proves the case with so many Brazilian full-backs, Bosshardt’s standout attributes come on the attacking side of the ball.
And such talents have not gone unnoticed across Europe, in particular amongst those behind the scenes at La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.
As per a report from MD:
‘In his homeland, there are even rumours that Barça have already made contact to assess the possibility of signing him. Deco, the club’s sporting director, is following the progress of the defender.’
A proposal on the part of the Blaugrana, in turn, could be forthcoming as soon as next summer.
