Barcelona confirm presidential elections for March 2021

Barcelona have officially confirmed that elections to find their new president will take place on March 20 and 21, 2021.

Josep Maria Bartomeu, the current Blaugrana leader, has faced a barrage of abuse over these past few weeks following the Lionel Messi transfer saga.

But his leadership has come into question before that, with the club struggling financially and failing consistently in the transfer market.

But his tenure could well come to an end in six months time with Barcelona confirming that elections will take place at the end of March next year.
