Barcelona’s defence has been handed a significant boost after Ronald Araújo signed a new long-term deal on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old will now stay with the club until 2026.

The Uruguayan has become a staple centre-back in the starting line-up for Xavi which Barcelona fans will welcome as Gerard Piqué nears the end of his career.
Araújo has made 39 starts this season, recording four goals in the process including crucial strikes against Sevilla, Atlético Madrid, and Real Madrid.
