Barcelona have confirmed that Ronald Araújo suffered an injury to his left adductor during Sunday’s Clásico victory over Real Madrid.
Araújo started the Clásico after returning from suspension and it was his unfortunate own goal which opened the scoring at Camp Nou.

But the defender bounced back from that mistake and went on to play the full 90 minutes, having a hand in Barça’s equaliser just before half-time.
The 24-year-old was expected to join up with the Uruguay squad for their upcoming friendlies with Japan and South Korea, but he will now remain in Barcelona while he recovers from his injury.
LaLiga leaders Barcelona face Elche after the international break, before their Copa del Rey semi-final second leg with Real Madrid on 5 Apri.
