Barcelona have confirmed that Ansu Fati has undergone another surgery in hope of correcting his persistent knee problems.

Ansu hasn’t featured since the 5-2 win over Betis in November, where he suffered the initial ligament problem which has struggled to heal.

The 18-year-old has already faced two procedures to fix the issue but neither surgery has proven successful – leading to significant frustration for both club and player.

“In Porto, Ansu Fati underwent a revision arthroscopy in his left knee by Dr. Jose Carlos Noronha under the supervision of the Club’s Medical Services,” read an official statement.

“The player will continue with their recovery process. Ansu Fati is working to overcome the injury to the internal meniscus of his left knee that occurred last November and that forced him to undergo surgery.”

Ansu enjoyed his breakthrough season for Barça, scoring five goals and assisting three before getting injured.
