Barcelona will be without the services of Frenkie de Jong for at least the next two weeks due to a calf problem.
The Dutchman sat out last week’s games against Leganes and Sevilla due to feeling some discomfort in that area.
After undergoing medical tests, the club have confirmed that he has an issue in his right calf which will see him miss two to three weeks of action.
That means De Jong is likely to be sidelined for fixtures against Athletic Club, Celta and Atlético, while he would face a fight for fitness to return against Villarreal in early July.
The midfielder has been an important figure in his maiden campaign at the Camp Nou.
He has featured in 38 games in all competitions and missed just three LaLiga fixtures to date.
