Barcelona are reportedly close to sealing moves for Lyon forward Memphis Depay and Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.
According to AD NL, both players were personally requested by head coach Ronald Koeman and are expected to cost a combined €40m.
Depay has less than one-year left on his current deal and impressed for Lyon last season, scoring 15 goals in 22 appearances.
Wijnaldum’s contract also expires in 2021 and with ongoing links to Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcântara – contract talks have not been initiated.
Barça, however, must sell raise more capital to afford the Netherlands duo despite the departures of Marc Cucurella and Ivan Rakitić.
The LaLiga club have urged Luis Suárez to leave this summer but are struggling to find buyers to match his excessive wages.
