As Barcelona look at the seemingly difficult task of getting the Camp Nou match-ready by September, the club are doing everything possible to speed up the process.
Barcelona have faced multiple setbacks, especially when it comes to gaining regulatory approvals for the stadium’s key safety measures.
In a recent interview, the Barcelona city mayor alluded to the same point, admitting that rules apply evenly to everyone, even Barça.
Now, in an attempt to fast-track the process, Barcelona appears to have conducted technical and operational test at Camp Nou
According to Mundo Deportivo, the test was carried out on Monday in the Grandstand and South Goal areas.
It involved several departments across the club, including Security and Operations, Maintenance, Facility Management, Food & Beverage, and IT.

The goal of this exercise was to test and validate a wide range of systems and infrastructure, starting from lighting and public address systems to fire safety mechanisms, evacuation procedures, accessibility elements, signage, and more.
This kind of simulation is part of the broader roadmap under the Espai Barça project, which seeks to ensure all systems are compliant with local laws and operational standards.
Meeting these standards will be integral as Barcelona look to return to the old stadium by the start of the next season.
These tests, the club says, are crucial for identifying and correcting any shortcomings before the stadium begins hosting fans again.
More drills and technical checks are expected in the coming weeks as Barcelona race against the clock to get their iconic home match-ready.
Barcelona fans will hope this is a sign of better things to come as they await the return of the renovated Camp Nou.
