Barcelona winger Caroline Graham Hansen scored an outstanding goal against Bayern Munich, less than a week after being snubbed for a Ballon d’Or nomination again.

After Bayern took the lead in the pre-season friendly, the Norwegian forward unleashed an unstoppable strike from outside the area to equalise for the Catalonian side.

Goalkeeper Maria Grohs was helpless as Graham Hansen’s shot rifled the ball into the top right corner.

Check out the impressive finish below.

Graham Hansen snubbed again

Since joining Barcelona in 2019, Graham Hansen has been an integral part of the side’s success and played a starring role in the club’s unbeaten league campaign last year.

The 27-year-old scored 11 goals and registered 19 assists across all competitions as well as setting up Alexia Putellas’ goal in the Champions League final.

In the Guardian’s list of top 100 female footballers in 2021, Graham Hansen ranked fourth, behind only Putellas, Vivianne Miedema and Sam Kerr.

Yet, despite being recognised as one of the best players in world football, Graham Hansen has been excluded from the Women’s Ballon d’Or shortlist for the second year in a row.

In 2021, the Norwegian missed out on a nomination, even after registering 28 goal contributions in 23 league games.

And this year, the winger was ignored once again, while five of her teammates were included.

Indeed, reigning champion Putellas, Aitana Bonmati, Lucy Bronze, Fridolina Rolfo and Asisat Oshoala were all named on the 20-person shortlist.

The rest of the nominees can be seen below.

Graham Hansen’s classy response

Last year, after missing out on the shortlist, Graham Hansen wrote a classy response on her Twitter, suggesting she wasn’t bothered by the snub.

“To everyone who is wondering. It’s all good,” she tweeted. “We won the triplet [treble] and we are working our a**es off to achieve this again. All that matters and the only thing that matters.”

This year, however, Hansen is yet to tweet and it remains to be seen how she feels about missing out for the second time in a row.

Bayern win friendly

While Graham Hansen’s goal stole the headlines, it was Bayern who won the match 2-1, thanks to goals from Giulia Gwinn and Emelyne Laurent.

The German side finished second in the Frauen Bundesliga last year and will be looking to topple reigning champions Wolfsburg this time around.

Bayern boast a number of impressive German stars, many of whom played in the Euro 2022 final last month.

Klara Buhl, Lea Schuller and Linda Dallman all started the match, while Lina Magull came on off the bench.

There was also a debut for Lionesses star Georgia Stanway, who joined from Manchester City earlier this summer.
