Barcelona have reportedly ‘calmed down’ Ousmane Dembélé following the signing of Malcom.
Dembélé signed for the LaLiga champions last summer for a fee of €105m, but has struggled to establish himself due to injury and inconsistency.
“We must have a strong squad,” said sporting director Eric Abidal. “Malcom and Dembélé play in the same position but the season is long and we need a lot of players.
“Dembélé has to be calm, because he is a very important player in the squad. the maximum possible titles.”
Barcelona begin their domestic campaign at home to Alavés on August 18.
