Barcelona boss Hansi Flick sends message to Dani Olmo amid registration drama | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick moved to reassure Dani Olmo of his situation at the club on Wednesday afternoon.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Midfielder Olmo has for his part of course seen his name take its place front and centre in the headlines across all of Spain over the course of the day to date.

This comes after the deadline for the summer arrival in Barcelona to be registered for the 2nd half of the campaign came and went late last night.

As things stand, Olmo is therefore not eligible to take to the pitch in Blaugrana colours.

The 26-year-old, it is understood, arrived to training on Wednesday feeling altogether downtrodden, struggling to come to terms with the situation in which he finds himself.

And one individual who was quick to put an arm around Olmo’s shoulder was manager Hansi Flick.

As per a report from AS:

‘The former Leipzig player spoke to Hansi Flick for a few minutes before the evening training session. The coach tried to reassure his player, making it very clear that the club will not let him down.’

It now remains to be seen if the Barcelona board can follow through on Flick’s promise…
