Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad contains both the top scorer and assist-maker in La Liga.

This comes owing to developments in the club’s meeting with Real Valladolid on Saturday evening.

Barca, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.

Fresh off a trio of victories to open the campaign, the Blaugrana welcomed the aforementioned Valladolid to Catalunya’s capital, with sights set on maintaining their 100% record.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what the evening’s hosts managed.

After Raphinha opened the scoring on the 20-minute mark, the floodgates soon opened, the Brazilian helping himself to an eventual hat-trick, alongside further goals from Robert Lewandowski, Jules Koundé, Dani Olmo, and Ferran Torres.

And, as alluded to above, as much has culminated in leading members of Hansi Flick’s frontline emerging as the sole leaders in two noteworthy statistical categories in Spain’s top-flight.

Veteran frontman Lewandowski, with four goals to his name, is the current La Liga top scorer.

Wide-man Lamine Yamal, meanwhile, after laying on two of his side’s seven goals against Valladolid, is the top assist-maker in La Liga 2024/25, with a tally of four.
