La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday been dealt a blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that a highly-regarded member of the club’s academy setup has opted to bring a close to his time with the club.
The player in question? Nil Calderó.
Calderó, for his part, is a 19-year-old attacker, who generally operates on the right wing.
He has been on the books in Catalunya’s capital since back in 2020, going on to make a name for himself as a potential first-team star in the making.
Such exploits culminated in Calderó securing for himself the status of captain and star performer for Barca’s U19 outfit.
In turn, it will no doubt mark a blow for all of a Blaugrana persuasion to learn that the Spaniard has this week come to the decision to move on.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘Girona have signed the star player and captain of Barça’s Under-19s, Nil Calderó, for the next three seasons.’
