Barcelona B winger Ilias Akhomach due Xavi promotion

Barcelona B winger Ilias Akhomach is set for a first team promotion.

Sport says he will be one of the Barça B players who will play for the first team from July 4 in pre-season.

Xavi will get the chance to coach him after giving him his debut at the top level last season and has kept his eye on the youngster when he went back to Barca B and finished the season with the Juvenil.

Ilias will get a Barcelona B registration and shirt next season even though he's still at Juvenil age level. There's a lot of hope within the club for the winger, who has great footballing potential and can beat his man one on one on the flank.

The U19 Spain international is a pure winger and that's the type Xavi likes to open up the pitch with.
