Barcelona attacker Antoine Griezmann has taken a swipe at his former adviser and also uncle in an extensive interview.

Speaking with former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano, Griezmann spoke of former adviser Eric Olhats' criticism of Lionel Messi and also of his uncle, who took aim at the club's culture.

He said, "The statements of my former representative do not help and hurt, like those of my uncle. I have no relationship with one and the other does not know what football is about. My relationship with Leo is of the utmost respect. I already told Messi that I had no relation to them."

He said of Olhats: "I have not had a relationship with Eric since my wedding. He did not come, I got p****d off and since then there is no relationship. As neither my sister, who is my manager, nor my parents speak or call him. There's no confusion with Leo. I respect him."

And about his uncle, he added: "You talk to a journalist, who seems to be your friend, but he wants to get a phrase out of you and create controversy. I only see my parents in town. And I go once a year."
