An altogether underwhelming statistic, highlighting the ongoing struggles of a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona, has this week surfaced online.

The player in question? Ansu Fati.

Wide-man Ansu, for his part, is of course in the midst of what has been another disappointing start to the new campaign.

Owing to a combination of fitness woes and competition for places, the 22-year-old has managed a total of just seven appearances across all competitions, one of which came from the off.

Across these outings, Ansu has failed to contribute by way of either a goal or an assist.

And it is such struggles which have this weekend culminated in a statistic surrounding the production of the Spaniard going viral across social media.

After also enduring an extremely tough time of things over the 2nd half of the 2023/24 season whilst on the books of Brighton & Hove Albion, Ansu has finished the calendar year without a single goal to his name.
