Barcelona & Arsenal tipped to lock horns over signing of two strikers | OneFootball

Barcelona and Arsenal are ready to go head-to-head over the signings of a pair of high-profile attackers.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing sources from England, who point towards Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyökeres as the strikers in question.

The La Liga and Premier League giants are both on the lookout for reinforcements up top with a view to the seasons ahead.

In the case of Barcelona, a long-term replacement for the aging Robert Lewandowski is being sought, whilst Arsenal are eyeing a more natural goalscorer to compete with Kai Havertz.

And Swedish internationals are on the agenda at both clubs.

Newcastle United standout Isak, in fact, is labelled ‘Barcelona’s top target for the summer’.

Sporting CP goalscorer Gyökeres, meanwhile – in the midst of nothing short of a remarkable opening to the campaign – finds himself towards the top of the wishlist at the Camp Nou, too.

It now remains to be seen if Barcelona can compete with the financial might of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal…
