In a recent report, Mundo Deportivo mentioned that Barcelona are open to selling Antoine Griezmann this summer. It is believed that the Catalan giants are willing to entertain offers for the French striker during this summer transfer period (via Mundo Deportivo).

Griezmann’s Decent Run Of Form In Spanish Football

Griezmann had another positive season at the Nou Camp as he managed to help Barca win the Copa del Rey earlier this year. The 30-year-old found the back of the net on 20 occasions and picked up 13 assists in 51 matches for the Catalan side in the previous campaign across multiple competitions.

The Macon-born talent did well to find some consistency with his attacking contributions based on his average of 2.0 shots, 1.2 key passes and 0.7 dribbles per game in La Liga last season. He was even careful when distributing the ball in the attacking end of the field, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 87.3% in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via whoscored).

The veteran forward’s current contract with Barca is set to run out in the summer of 2024. At 30, Griezmann has still got a few good years left in him to play at a high level. Griezmann can be a composed presence in front of the opposition goal when is playing with confidence on the field. He is a decent penalty taker and has also got the vision to pick out a decisive pass in the final third.
