Barcelona are not looking to discuss the future of three first-team stars in the near future

Barcelona have been actively securing their long-term future by extending contracts of key players. In recent weeks, the club has successfully renewed the deals of Ronald Araujo, Pedri, Gavi and most recently, Pau Cubarsi.

These extensions were a priority, as these players had contracts expiring in 2026 and required adjustments to their agreements.

However, while these renewals have been in focus, there are other important players whose futures remain untouched for now.

Barcelona yet to take a call on three players

As reported by MARCA, among those yet to enter contract discussions are Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Jules Kounde.

All three are crucial members of the squad and have contracts running until 2027, which gives the club ample time before needing to renegotiate their deals.

As of now, Barcelona have not made any contact with the trio regarding an extension, and there is no urgency from either side to begin talks.

This lack of movement is not due to uncertainty about their importance. Each of them has played a significant role this season.

Ferran Torres has contributed 10 goals and 3 assists in 25 appearances, while Kounde has been a regular in defence, featuring in 36 matches with 3 goals and 7 assists.

Meanwhile, Raphinha has played 35 games, directly contributing to 24 goals and providing 15 assists. Their performances have been valuable under Hansi Flick, but with their contracts secured until 2027, there is no immediate need to address their futures.

Barcelona remain focused on other contractual matters and have not prioritized extending these three players at the moment. However, when the time comes, the club is expected to open discussions to ensure their continued presence in the long-term project.
