In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Barcelona are keeping tabs on Las Palmas winger Alberto Moleiro this summer. It has been stated that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to land the Spanish attacker in this off-season.

Moleiro’s Rapid Rise In La Liga 2

Moleiro enjoyed an impressive season in the Spanish second division recently as he managed to put in a handful of productive performances for Las Palmas in the final third. The 19-year-old failed to find the back of the net but picked up eight assists in 42 appearances for the Spanish outfit in the previous campaign across various competitions.

The Spanish prospect has caught the eye at times with his contributions in the opponent’s half. However, he has to find a way to add a few goals to his game if he wants to prove his worth at the highest level.

Moleiro is under contract at Las Palmas until the summer of 2026. Thus, it won’t be easy for Barcelona to snap him up on the cheap in this off-season.

Should Barcelona Boss Xavi Bring Moleiro To The Nou Camp?

Moleiro is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can create a few inviting chances for his teammates on the attacking third of the pitch. He is an accurate passer of the ball as well but needs to find a way to be more decisive in front of the opponent’s goal.

The Spanish whizkid is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a winger on either flank if asked to do so by his manager. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth at the highest level.

Moleiro is already good enough to challenge for a spot in Barcelona boss Xavi’s match-day squad. He is undeniably a prospect to watch out for in the coming seasons.

Therefore, Barca would be wise to orchestrate a move to bring Moleiro to the Nou Camp before the end of this summer transfer window. However, only time will tell whether the Spanish youngster can maintain his good form in top-flight football if the Catalan giants manage to get him on board later this year.
