Ansu Fati has been closely linked with a loan move to AS Monaco, with Barcelona hoping to complete a loan transfer by the end of the month.

Negotiations between Barcelona and Monaco have hit a snag lately, owing to disagreements over the wage split between the two clubs.

Reports suggest the move can be expedited once Barcelona and Monaco reach an agreement over the wage split.

Barcelona and Monaco to equally split wages

Gerard Romero has now offered a key update on Ansu Fati’s transfer saga.

It appears Barcelona and Monaco have reached an agreement over the wage split for Ansu Fati’s loan deal.

The two sides are set to equally split Fati’s wages during the attacker’s loan spell at Monaco next season.

Romero adds that Monaco were initially willing to pay just 30% of Fati’s salary, but Barcelona were not too keen on agreeing to those terms.

With agreement likely in place, Barcelona will now look to expedite the transfer and try to get it done before the end of the month.

Fati’s exit could serve as a crucial lever for Barcelona, as the forward has one of the highest salary packages in the team.

Fati’s exit could pave the way for Barcelona to push harder for the acquisition of Nico Williams, who is ready to join the Catalan club this summer.

As for Fati himself, a move to Monaco serves as an ideal opportunity to revive a career that has been marred by injuries and a lack of form.

The coming few days, therefore, could be important for all parties involved, as Barcelona look to sanction key economic deals.
