Spanish journalist Rodrigo Faez recently told mufcMPB (YouTube channel) that Olmo is indeed a ‘target’ for the Reds in the upcoming transfer window.

Faez said: “Olmo likes United, the city of Manchester and he’s in love with the Premier League. If United decide to move for hi, they have big chances to get the deal done.”

According to a new report from Mundo Deportivo, Olmo has become a priority for Barcelona, despite leaving the club’s established academy in 2014 as a 16-year-old to join Dinamo Zagreb’s second time.

Olmo initially joined Zagreb’s second team before he made a name for himself in Croatia.

However, it is understood that Barcelona sports director and former midfielder Deco met with the agends and the father of Olmo for discussions on Wednesday.

The same report outlines that Man City met with Olmo’s representatives over a potential move.

All this suggests is that United need to get moving if they plan to bring in a player like Olmo in the coming months.

The Spain international is under contract at Leipzig until 2027 and his exit clause is estimated to be worth €60 million.

Olmo sill turn 26 on May 7 and may be a player United should be taking a punt on granted he’s happy to wait a year for Champions League football.
