Eintracht Frankfurt’s Daichi Kamada is expected to leave the Bundesliga club when his contract expires in the summer and according to Sky Germany, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid have entered the race.
It was suggested that Kamada was close to reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund but per the report, that appears to have gone cold with Kamada now seeing his future abroad.
Eintracht Frankfurt Sporting Director Markus Krösche also confirmed to ZDF on Saturday evening that Kamada would likely leave the club with a contract extension beyond the summer extremely unlikely.
Per Sky Germany’s report, a final decision is expected this week. Despite suggestions that Eintracht had withdrawn their latest contract proposal to Kamada, this doesn’t appear to be the case but a separation is still the expected outcome.
Kamada joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Sagan Tosu in 2017 before spending the 2018/19 season on loan at Sint-Truiden. During his time in Frankfurt, the Japan international has scored 37 and created 31 in 168 games across all competitions and was also instrumental in their 2022 Europa League win.
