According to SPORT, Barcelona and Pablo Torre are actively working to find a solution that suits both sides, as it becomes increasingly clear that the young midfielder will not be part of the first-team plans for the 2025/26 season.

Torre, now 22, is eager to secure regular playing time elsewhere, while Barça are determined not to sever ties with the talented Cantabrian completely.

Unless there is a major twist, Torre will not wear the Barça shirt next season. His priority is clear that he wants to find the right environment to fully showcase his ability and finally establish himself as a key player.

After a frustrating spell of limited opportunities at Barcelona, the midfielder and his team are carefully evaluating offers, knowing this next move is vital for his career progression.

Barcelona want to retain control

While Torre wants to leave, Barça are keen on maintaining a degree of control over his future. The club is exploring various formulas, either a loan deal tied to a contract renewal or a permanent transfer with retained economic rights or a buy-back clause.

The idea is to allow him to grow elsewhere without closing the door completely on a potential return.

Timing is now becoming critical. With Barcelona’s pre-season training kicking off on July 13, both sides want clarity before the squad regroups.

Everyone wants a resolution

Torre has already brought forward his holiday period to be ready for negotiations and a swift move.

Though a loan deal would ideally allow Barça to extend Torre’s contract and monitor his development, this option currently looks difficult.

A permanent move that secures part of his future rights for the Catalan club may be the more realistic outcome.

Interest in the midfielder is already high, and Torre’s next move will be one of the more closely watched stories of Barcelona’s summer window.
