Barcelona are hoping to close a deal to sign Arturo Vidal in the next few hours.
The Chilean midfielder has agreed personal terms with the LaLiga champions, according to Sport.
Vidal has been made available by Bayern Munich this summer following the arrival of midfielder Leon Goretzka. The report says Barcelona made an approach for Vidal last week and quickly reached an agreement with his representatives.
A midfielder is needed at Camp Nou following the departures of Andrés Iniesta and Paulinho.
Bayern are hoping to bring in €30m by selling Vidal. Barcelona, who have been linked with moves to sign Adrien Rabiot (PSG) and Frenkie De Jong (Ajax) now appear happy to strike a deal for the 31-year-old instead.
Barcelona have already completed the signings of Arthur, Clement Lenglet, and Malcom this summer.
