Barcelona agree deal to sign Lovro Chelfi | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have reached an agreement to add to the club’s midfield ranks at youth level for next season.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Lovro Chelfi as the player primed to take his talents to Catalunya’s capital.

Chelfi, for his part, is an 18-year-old midfielder, who generally operates in an attack-minded role.

The starlet has long been held in high regard in his home country of Croatia, considered a potential future star in the making owing to an impressive range of technical attributes.

Such talents had given rise to links with a whole host of clubs across Europe over recent months, with the Premier League having been frequently touted as a potential summer landing spot for the Chelfi.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Tuesday is anything to go by, then the teen, in fact, is bound for Spain.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Barcelona have agreed deal to sign 18 year old Croatian midfielder Lovro Chelfi. Chelfi was linked with Premier League move but he will join Barça U21 squad with agreement in place with NK Kustosija.’
