La Liga champions Barcelona have agreed on the terms of another departure from the club’s first-team squad.
This comes amid confirmation of an agreement being put in place with RCD Mallorca for youngster Jan Virgili.
Winger Virgili has been tipped for a departure from Catalunya’s capital throughout the summer to date.
As much comes with the 19-year-old, widely regarded across the Spanish football landscape, having been facing up to a season in the country’s 4th tier with Barca Atlètic.
Considered talented enough to ply his trade at a considerably higher standard, but not yet ready to play a regular part for Barcelona, a number of La Liga clubs, in turn, expressed an interest in Virgili’s signature.
And as alluded to above, this week, one such suitor have beaten out the competition.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘There is an agreement between FC Barcelona and RCD Mallorca for Jan Virgili. The two clubs reached an agreement around 3.5 million euros and a buyback option for Barça.’
Barcelona will also maintain 50% ownership of Virgili as part of the deal.
This marks the 2nd departure agreed upon by the Camp Nou brass in the last 24 hours, after Iñaki Peña sealed a loan move to Elche.
