Hansi Flick’s Barcelona continues to impress, showing remarkable consistency in attack. Recently, they put five goals past Crvena Zvezda in their latest UEFA Champions League match, bringing their streak to seven consecutive games with at least three goals scored.

This attacking momentum began in early October, right after a disappointing loss against Osasuna. Since then, the Catalans have achieved a series of dominating wins that showcase their prowess in front of goal.

A look at the numbers

In this impressive run, Barça have racked up a string of big wins, defeating Young Boys (5-0), Alaves (3-0), Sevilla (5-1), Bayern Munich (4-1), Real Madrid (4-0), Espanyol (3-1), and most recently, Crvena Zvezda (5-2).

Interestingly, Barcelona have not witnessed this level of scoring consistency since the 2016-17 season, when Luis Enrique was at the helm.

Back then, the team managed to achieve a similar feat, recording seven consecutive matches with three or more goals in the season’s final stretch.

Furthermore, Flick’s side is not only excelling in attack but also maintaining solid defensive form, adding to their dominance. As a result, Barcelona have become the top-scoring team across Europe’s five major leagues, standing out as a high-powered offensive force.

Better than anyone else

In La Liga, Barcelona have scored 40 goals in just 13 matches, averaging over three goals per game. This total surpasses both Real Madrid’s 21 goals and Atletico Madrid’s 18 goals combined.

To put this into perspective, Barça’s tally in La Liga alone matches Liverpool and Manchester City’s combined efforts in the Premier League, despite both English teams playing three more games.

Furthermore, Barcelona currently lead the Champions League goal tally, with 15 goals across their group-stage games. They have outscored other big names like Borussia Dortmund (13), Bayern Munich (11), and even Manchester City, Liverpool, and Monaco, who each have 10.
