According to a report from SPORT, Gavi’s camp is urging patience, emphasising that the young midfielder will not be rushed back into action, regardless of his eagerness to return.

His recovery will be handled with utmost care, ensuring that he only steps back onto the pitch when he is completely fit, without any risk of re-injury.

Gavi is approaching ten months of absence, with a possible return expected around late October or early November.

On the 19th of this month, it will mark exactly ten months since the unfortunate day when Gavi, playing for the Spanish national team against Georgia, suffered a severe injury.

The injury was devastating—a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee.

From the beginning, there was no set timeline for Gavi’s recovery, but medical experts have consistently advised against rushing his return.

For such a serious injury, a full year away from competitive football is considered reasonable, and it seems this will be the case for Gavi. His rehabilitation is progressing well, but his close circle has consistently stressed the importance of taking things slowly.

Throughout this challenging period, Gavi has received support and guidance from his agent, Ivan De la Pena.

The plan remains clear: Gavi will only return when he is fully recovered. This could be as early as late October or sometime in November, potentially making him a valuable asset for Hansi Flick’s squad.

However, both his entourage and the club maintain a clear message: “Calm down.” They are determined not to force his return, despite Gavi’s strong desire to play again. The focus is entirely on ensuring he is 100% fit with no risk of a setback.

In recent weeks, Gavi has been training on the pitch at the Tito Vilanova, engaging in light ball work and participating in some drills with his teammates.

He feels positive about his progress and understands that he is in the final stages of a lengthy recovery process. Still, he knows the importance of staying patient and continuing to overcome each stage carefully.

Flick is eagerly awaiting his return, even expressing his hope that the young star will have a long and successful career at the club.

Gavi’s comeback will be gradual, and it remains to be seen how Flick will integrate him back into the squad, especially considering the likelihood of him playing as a central midfielder.
