Barcelona working on Bernal’s renewal

Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona are so convinced about Bernal’s talent and potential that they are working on a contract renewal for the youngster.

The Blaugrana have already held negotiations for the renewal and adjustment of Bernal’s contract, which expires in 2026 and the contacts are going in the right direction. There is nothing closed but there is good harmony to reach an agreement.

Bernal’s current deal expires in 2026, with a termination clause of €6 million, and he has a proposal from the club for one more year and two more optional years, like any youth team contract.

The Catalans are firmly committed to Bernal’s continuity and progression, even though there are players ahead of him in his position, such as Marc Casado (20 years old) and Pau Prim (18 years old), who are also on the horizon for the first team.

Premier League clubs sniffing around

As has already been reported, Bernal’s potential and talent have led to interest coming in from the Premier League as well as the Bundesliga and Serie A.

The 16-year-old wonderkid, however, is only thinking about Barça and the road ahead.

Sources at the club explain that the La Masia jewel is very excited to continue and is not considering a departure.
