Times have been tough for Barcelona in recent years, as they lost their way both on and off the field of play.
Lionel Messi departed for Paris Saint-Germain last summer, bringing the curtain down on the most successful period the Catalan giants have ever known.
But, after a disappointing season at senior level, the U-19 side gave the Blaugrana a boost on Saturday when they defeated Athletic Club 2-0 in the Spanish youth cup final.
The standout moment came when Álex Valle opened the scoring.
However it wasn’t the finish that captured the imagination – cool as it was – but an incredible backheel assist from Victor Barberá.
It was an astonishing piece of ingenuity from the 17-year-old. We probably haven’t heard the last of him!
