Balotelli relives EURO 2012 wondergoal against Germany on social media | OneFootball

Mario Balotelli has shared a clip of his thunderous second goal against Germany in the semi-final of EURO 2012, almost exactly 12 years later.

June 28 was the 12-year anniversary of Italy’s semi-final victory over Germany in Warsaw.

Balotelli grabbed both Azzurri goals that night, first converting an Antonio Cassano cross before smashing a vicious strike past Manuel Neuer from the edge of the penalty area for his second.

As well as being a memorable goal, Balotelli also whipped his shirt off and posed for one of the most iconic celebrations of recent times.

The 33-year-old striker recently reposted a clip of his second goal against Germany on his Instagram story to celebrate its anniversary.

Balotelli is set to become a free agent on Monday after the expiry of his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Adana Demirspor.
